The workshop emphasized the critical need for coordinated surveillance across human health, animal health, and environmental sectors. This integrated approach ensures comprehensive monitoring and early detection of antimicrobial resistance patterns.
Participants worked collaboratively to design actionable strategies that will strengthen Rwanda's capacity to monitor, report, and respond to AMR threats effectively.
The involvement of multiple ministries and international partners demonstrates Rwanda's commitment to addressing AMR as a shared responsibility requiring coordinated action across all sectors.
Collaboration and innovation will be key to ensuring sustainable progress in the fight against Antimicrobial Resistance in Rwanda and beyond. By working together with government agencies, international organizations, healthcare providers, and communities, we can build a resilient health system that protects current and future generations.
